2019 – It’s your year to sparkle.
In just a matter of days, we’ll be ringing in yet another new year. I’ve listed a handful of resolutions specifically for my blog, one of them being to share more of my outfits and style tips on my website. Well, I’m getting ahead of those resolutions and sharing 3 different NYE looks featuring 1 bad-ass, Zara blazer.
Considering the limited time left for shopping before the year ends, I’m challenging you to work with items that you already own. The best thing about all three of these looks is that I was able to piece together items I already owned straight from my closet – a win! It doesn’t take much to pull this off, I promise.
Wear It With Trousers
For this look, I simply paired the blazer with a pair of satin palazzo trousers I purchased from Selfridges back in 2011 and kept it very minimal with the accessories. I chose to go without a bra to spice things up a bit but don’t worry, the girls were well confined! Is this a look, or nah?
Wear It As A Dress
For the second look, I took advantage of the blazer’s size + length and wore it as a dress. Very rarely will you catch me in short dresses but this is a look I can get behind. I created an asymmetric look by mismatching the buttons from one side to the other. Although the blazer itself is pretty loud, I still felt like a simpleton. To compliment this style further, I threw my hair in a ponytail and added a pair of statement earrings. How ya like me now?
Wear It With a Dress
Another classic combination. If you couldn’t already tell, the theme here is gold and black. For this last look, I paired the blazer with a black, low neckline, split dress from Misguided I purchased in 2015. Seems simple but it does the trick!
Personally, I like the results of look # 1 the most. I guess the simple pairing of the blazer with the satin wide-leg trousers really did it for me.
