Finding beauty in imperfection.
Far too often, we get carried away with our beliefs and frustrate ourselves with our desire for perfection. Revisiting past scenarios & listing all the things we could’ve done differently to aide better results. “If only…” “What if…” “I wish…”. What a dangerous cycle to get stuck in.
Well, I’m not proud to admit that I’ve been stuck in that rut of late. Don’t get me wrong, retrospection for improvement is healthy. Just don’t let yourself get paralyzed in your analysis of perfecting the past.
Stuck in our entrenched beliefs, it can be difficult in times of hardships to remember that nothing is ever permanent, or perfect. I’ve taken on the challenge to channel mindfulness, practice resilience and remind myself to continue finding beauty in these moments of imperfection.
So here’s to snapping right out of this funk and letting go of whatever notion of perfection I’ve been holding on to. Because in reality, there is no such thing as perfect. It all boils down to perspective.
